The Benton County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on December 19, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Benton County Boardroom, 531 Dewey Street, Foley, for the purpose of taking public testimony on possible changes to the Benton County fee schedule.


DNR releases draft Little Rock Creek Area plan for public review

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has released a public review draft of a five-year action plan for the sustainable use of groundwater in the Little Rock Creek Area, in central Minnesota, south of Little Falls.


Benton County Board of Commissioners has one opening on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

Benton County Board of Commissioners has one opening on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.  The Solid Waste Advisory Committee is a seven member committee consisting of one citizen-at-large per commissioner district and two county commissioners.  The committee reviews and makes a recommendation to the Benton County Board regarding SCORE Grant applications.  Further, the group provides recommendations on various solid waste related issues such as proposed regulation. Typically, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee meets quarterly and the members shall be paid a per diem, currently $60 and their mileage in an amount to be determined by separate action of the County Board.

Benton County Board of Commissioners has one opening on the Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment shall consist of five members representing each of the five commissioner districts. Each member is appointed by the County Board. The members of the Board of Adjustment shall be paid a per diem of $60 and their mileage in an amount to be determined by separate action of the County Board.
