GIS (Geographic Information Systems) & Mapping
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system capable of capturing, storing, analyzing, and displaying geographically referenced information, or, data identified according to location. The power of a GIS comes from the ability to relate different information in a spatial context to reach a conclusion about this relationship.
Benton County uses maps, aerial photos, and GIS on a daily basis for many county functions. We have made the following information available online to the public.
Look up information about a particular location in the County on this interactive map. Turn on and off layers in the countywide map. You do not need a password to use this site.
Some maps are available on-line in PDF format. Any other non-standard map requests can be filled, but will require a fee to be paid in accordance with the Benton County Fee Schedule.
Requesting GIS Data
As of January 2017, Benton County GIS fees have been removed and a number of datasets are available free of charge. To request these data, please use the contact information at the top of the page. Aerial imagery is not available for distribution.
