St. John’s Area School: “Star Office Presentation Software”
            Goals

  • Increase computer literacy of all faculty and administration

  • Enhance student learning through the sue of state of the are curriculum

Rice Elementary: “Wake up Rice”
            Goals

  • We build community awareness by taping video segments and playing them during our news program.

  • Students will learn to set up and use video equipment at different locations on our school and the community.

Foley Elementary: “Tech Thursdays”
            Goals

  • To train interested teachers in the use of new equipment and various computer application to help them increase the use in their own classrooms.  The goal for the training is to have more teachers’ integrating technology into their classrooms.

Pleasantview Elementary: “Where All Ears Listen PVTV”
            Goals

  • We build community awareness by taping video segments and playing them during our news program.

  • Students will learn to set up and use video equipment at different locations on our school and the community.

Sacred Heart Schools: “On the Ball”
            Goals

  • Students in grades five and six will learn how to use a digital video camera.

  • Students in grades five and six will practice and demonstrate ball handling skills for the video.

  • Students in grades five and six will learn how to edit, add titles and music to video using computers with Apple’s iMovie, iTunes and iPhoto.

  • Grades kindergarten through sixth will use the finished video to assist in teaching and demonstrating ball handling skills during physical education classes.

Mississippi Heights Elementary: “Live on Channel 14”
            Goals

  • Will use the building broadcast channel to disseminate information and share visual and audio presentations on a variety of educational topics.

  • Students will learn to set up and use video equipment at different locations in our school and in the community.

  • Videotaped presentations will be incorporated into iMovies, Keynote, or Powerpoint presentations for classroom learning.

St. Augustine & St. Mary’s Cathedral: “Portable Computer”
            Goals

  • Presentations: we intend to use the MacBook Pro to make presentations more portable for teachers and students.

  • Teacher Use: we also want to encourage teachers to “take-a-computer-home” to create their own presentations.

  • Training: the Media Specialist will train users on the portable computer.

Foley Intermediate School: “Every Classroom Interactive”
            Goals

  • Main goal is for students to be interactively engaged in their learning, thus improving achievement.  An objective will be that teachers will no longer be “tethered” to their desk to control their computer for projected lesions.

Lincoln Elementary: “Technology and Staff Development”
            Goals

  • The Staff will be introduced to new resources and a review of current resources for students and staff.  The staff will access the resources that are available in our building as well as the district network.  The staff will review our data and assessment warehouse, AIMES web as well as updates to our library resources for students and teachers.  The staff will also learn about what software is currently available to them and be given a review of how to access and use with the students and their families.
