This park is located on the south side of County Road 2, approximately 2.5 miles east of its intersection with Highway 10 and the city of Rice at 130 125th Street NW. The park is situated on the north end of Little Rock Lake. Features include a beach, boat launch area, campground for both tent and RV sites, restroom and showers, picnic shelters and facilities, playgrounds, volleyball, horseshoes, and a two story conference center with deck overlooking the lake available for rent. At times the water quality is not conducive to swimming.
Improvements requested that the County is in the process of implementing include: upgrade play equipment as necessary for the different age groups and make ADA accessible; upgrade of the camping facilities; provision of pedestrian trails, improve lake water quality.
Improvements and amenities rated the highest in priorities residents wish to see were the increase use of the Lakeview Center, upgrade the restroom/shower facility, addition of pedestrian and bicycle trails; picnic areas to be more defined, possible council ring or barbecues, defined open space for activities such as volleyball, horseshoes, bocce, lawn bowling and croquet. Have the ability to check out equipment needed for activities, add a water feature such as splash pad area, shower for swimming, new campground layout plan with landscape used for screening, upgrade shelters, add fishing pier, develop the pond near the Redwood Inn as a interpretive area, garden area or fishing pond and establish educational/interpretive markers.
