Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment has the exclusive power to order the issuance of variances to the land use Ordinances within the County. The Board of Adjustment also hears appeals of the zoning Administrator.

County Board
The County Board is responsible for establishing a budget and levying taxes to finance County services, authorizing expenditures, making land-use decisions, and managing County roads, buildings and property. Board members also bring the County's concerns before state and federal lawmakers and interact with other local boards, such as city councils and township boards.

Human Services Board
The mission of Benton County Human Services is to preserve and maintain the health, safety, dignity and well being of the residents of Benton County while promoting the right to self determination and self sufficiency.

Parks Commission
Their purpose is to act in an advisory capacity to the Benton County Board of Commissioners, providing recommendations to the board regarding the planning, development, funding and evaluation of park and recreation facilities and programs.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission considers the compliance of each request relative to Comprehensive Plan as a part of each decision or recommendation to the County Board. They also review and decide on minor preliminary plats, review major plats and amendments to the Development Code.
